Ashley Brooks

Research Associate

Ashley joined Children’s Funding Project in February 2022 as a research assistant. Now as a research associate, she supports the research capacity team by tracking, analyzing, and disseminating actionable information about policies and resources that communities have to invest in young people.

Prior to joining the Children’s Funding Project, she worked at the Forum for Youth Investment as the executive assistant to former CEO Karen Pittman and then as a program associate for the Big Picture Approach team. She supported the partnership work at the Forum and was a member of the Readiness Projects – a partnership between the Forum for Youth Investment, the National Urban League, and the American Institutes for Research to use science-informed strategies to upend inequity.

Ashley is a Maryland native and graduated from the University of Maryland – College Park in May 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts in history. In her spare time, Ashley enjoys going to Capitals and Nationals games, traveling, and spending time with her family.
