Christina Gilbert

Director of Funding the Next Generation

Christina brings a wide range of experience, including Director – level roles in various organizations including San Joaquin Children’s Alliance where she has led partners and nonprofits to advocate for increased investment in children and families.   She has extensive experience in community organizing, facilitation, and convening groups toward a common goal.  She has been active in Funding the Next Generation since 2015.

Christina founded the first child advocacy organization in San Joaquin County and through her work she has shown the impact of how building trust and strong relationships creates the momentum to affect change by building of broad, diverse, intergenerational multi ethnic coalition with leaders across cultures and political alignments toward a more equitable investment in the community.   Those efforts have led to two ballot campaigns where she was the campaign coordinator giving her a wealth of knowledge of the components of a measure including momentum building, writing ballot language, fundraising, campaign communications, volunteer recruitment, etc.

Christina is a dedicated community leader, driven by a profound commitment to uplifting children and families through collaboration, advocacy, and innovative problem-solving. With a wealth of experience in community organizing, facilitation and public speaking, she is passionate about bringing together diverse voices to create impactful change.
