Marina Mendoza

Senior Manager, Early Childhood Impact

Marina joined Children’s Funding Project in July 2023 to lead the community of practice for managers of existing voter-approved children’s funds and the organization’s prenatal-to-three work. Additionally, she works across the organization to determine the organization’s impact on communities that secure funding for children.

Previously, Marina was at The Hunt Institute where she was a senior policy analyst on the Early Learning team. She served as a key subject matter expert on early childhood policy issues and developed individualized guidance on emerging issues for senior elected officials. Marina also brings a wealth of knowledge from her experience administering local child care scholarship and subsidy programs.

Marina earned her Ph.D. in developmental psychology/developmental cognitive neuroscience from the University of Denver and is an alumna of the Latino Leadership Institute. She lives in North Carolina and enjoys spending time in the garden and bird watching.
