Amelia brings her experience working with state governments and direct service to Children’s Funding Project. She has worked for the Virginia Governor’s Children’s Cabinet, and for Virginia’s Department of Medical Assistance Services. Amelia has always been passionate about improving maternal and child health and early childhood outcomes. She began her career as a bilingual parent educator for the early childhood home visiting program CHIP and as a birth doula.

A native of Baltimore, Amelia holds a bachelor’s degree in public health studies from Johns Hopkins University and a Master of Public Health degree from Virginia Commonwealth University.
