Brett McPherson

Communications Manager

Brett joined Children’s Funding Project in April 2024 as the organization’s communications manager. He brings more than 10 years of experience in multimedia content production and omnichannel storytelling across the fields of higher education and state government, with a foundation in news and broadcasting. He is fueled by a passion for helping to improve the quality of life for vulnerable populations impacted by socioeconomic inequities.

Brett earned his bachelor’s degree in journalism from Metropolitan State University of Denver.

He was born a Coloradan, who also lived for many years in California, and now resides in Texas with his wife and her two children. Travel, music, and art fill his leisure time.
