Charles Sewell

Associate, Cost Analysis and Modeling

Charlie joined Children’s Funding Project in November 2025 as a Cost Analysis and Modeling Research Associate. He supports the Cost Modeling Team’s efforts to help states and communities identify the true cost of quality cradle to career programs and services.

A native of Charlottesville, Virginia, Charlie holds a Master of Public Policy from the University of Virginia. There, he completed a thesis in partnership with Habitat for Humanity Virginia analyzing and costing various programmatic strategies to increase homeownership affordability. Charlie also served as a Graduate Research Associate evaluating the current situation of and problems facing post-secondary education.

Living in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Charlie enjoys hiking and the outdoors. He loves to cook and is always willing to try a new recipe!
