She supports the organization’s state fiscal mapping efforts by developing AI-powered workflows that extract, classify, and validate funding streams from complex public budget documents. Her work focuses on building scalable data pipelines that improve the speed, accuracy, and consistency of fiscal mapping across states.Previously, Hema worked on AI-powered document processing and data pipeline development, building machine learning workflows that transformed unstructured data into standardized, high-quality datasets.Hema received her bachelor’s degree in Computer science and Mathematics from Mount Holyoke College.She lives in Madison, Wisconsin, where she enjoys cooking, spending time on the lakes, and being with family.
