Jessica Pika

Vice President, Communications

Jessica Pika is a strategic communications leader with more than 20 years of experience building audiences, driving visibility, and producing content that moves people in service of social justice and equity-focused causes.

As Vice President, Communications for the Children’s Funding Project (CFP), Jessica Leads organization-wide communications strategy to elevate CFP’s visibility, clarify and amplify organizational narrative, and advance the children’s funding movement. She oversees executive and thought-leadership communications, media relations, digital and social media, publications, and learning-related communications.

Most recently, Jessica served as Senior Director of Strategic Communications at Child Care Aware® of America (CCAoA), leading communications strategy and content production, driving visibility across owned, earned, and paid channels on issues affecting child care access, affordability, and equity nationwide. Prior to that, Jessica served as Director of Communications at the Center for the Study of Social Policy, where she led brand, digital, media, and content strategy for a national policy and equity organization focused on child welfare, racial justice, and systems change.

Her career is rooted in reproductive health and gender justice. During 11 years at Power to Decide, she directed national communications campaigns reaching millions of young people and families annually, including digital and content strategies designed to reach teens and young adults around reproductive health and bodily autonomy.

Jessica holds an MA in Strategic Communication and Digital Strategy from the University of Oklahoma and a BA in Communications and Political Science from Wake Forest University. She lives in the Washington, DC metro area.
