Jesus Sanchez is the son of Mariana and Jose Sanchez and is a first generation chicanx community organizer from Baldwin Park, CA. He is the Director of Funding the Next Generation and leads the strategic vision for increasing public funding for youth in California. They are the Co-founder of Gente Organizada, a Pomona based power building youth-led organization. Prior to Gente, he worked in various community organizing, college access, and youth development roles throughout Southern California. He is a proud alum of Mt. San Antonio Community College and CSU Dominguez Hills. He recently served as a member of the steering committee for the successful Pomona Kids First Ballot initiative in the 2024 election.
