Kenny Francis

Director of Coaching and Capacity

Kenny joined Children’s Funding Project in November 2022 as director of coaching and capacity to lead the design and implementation of the organization’s strategic finance coaching and training programs.

Prior to this role, Kenny served as director of policy & advocacy for Agenda for Children in New Orleans, LA. In this role, he led efforts to address inequities in access to quality healthcare, affordable housing, and early childhood care and education through community organizing, policy research, and legislative engagement. Kenny brings over a decade of experience working in service of children and families to Children’s Funding Project, including eight years as an early childhood educator, administrator, and school evaluator for New Orleans Public Schools.

His publications include A Roadmap to Improve Child Well-Being in Louisiana and Paid Leave is the Foundation of a Stronger Louisiana.

A native of Brooklyn, NY, Kenny attended University of Virginia and resides in Los Angeles with his wife Shannon. Together, they enjoy attending stand-up comedy shows and traveling as often as possible.
