Laura joined Children’s Funding Project in April 2022. As a project manager, she supports the organization by ensuring projects are fulfilled on-time, on-budget, and with high quality; and building and maintaining relationships with partners.

Previously she worked for the San Antonio Report, a non-profit newsroom, as the Events & Audience Engagement Manager. She led the planning and programming for public policy and community engagement events that consisted of in person, hybrid and virtual gatherings. Laura is also a proud alumna of the Latina Leadership Institute, a program of the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce designed to build the skills and knowledge that today’s Latina leaders need to succeed in running for elected office, applying for positions on local, state, federal or corporate boards and commissions and/or interested in leadership roles within political campaign management.

Laura is a native Texan and graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a Bachelor of Science in Community Health and a Master of Public Administration. She lives and plays in San Antonio, Texas with her three children enjoying time outdoors and visiting local libraries.
