Investing in Youth Workforce Development in Baltimore City, MD The Baltimore City Mayor’s Office of Employment Development (MOED) has committed to expanding workforce development opportunities for youth via an $8.4 million investment in the city’s YouthWorks program. YouthWorks provides young people with hands-on professional experience in addition to financial literacy and skills training. Baltimore City has coordinated this program for more than 30 years, making it one of the longest-running summer youth employment opportunities in the country.
