American Rescue PlanPrograms and services for children have never received a down payment of the magnitude seen in the American Rescue Plan. The package includes more than $160 billion designated for education and child care as well as an additional $350 billion that states and localities can flexibly spend on children. The flexibility of these funds gives local leaders and advocates an opportunity to think boldly and creatively about child- and youth-focused services as well as the chance to create sustained and robust investments in our kids going forward. We developed this collection of tools and resources to help policymakers, service providers, and advocates use this historic level of federal aid to kick-start meaningful change for children and youth.Filed under:Infants and Toddlers, Early Childhood, Middle Childhood, Youth, Young Adults, Advocates/Intermediaries, Funders, Leaders of Native Nations, Policymakers/Agency Leaders, Collection, American Rescue Plan, Federal Funding, Strategic Public FinancingResources Database Flexible Funding for Children and Youth in the American Rescue Plan Find American Rescue Plan funding in your community Publication Investing in Child Care in New Mexico An American Rescue Plan community profile Publication Supporting Out-of-School Time Programs in Sioux City, IA An American Rescue Plan community profile Publication Investing in Youth Workforce Development in St. Louis, MO An American Rescue Plan community profile Publication Investments in Strategic Planning for K-12 Education in Syracuse, NY An American Rescue Plan community profile Publication Investing in Youth Workforce Development in Baltimore City, MD An American Rescue Plan community profile Publication Investing in Community Care in Anne Arundel County, MD An American Rescue Plan community profile Publication Investing in the Early Childhood Workforce in Milwaukee, WI An American Rescue Plan community profile Publication Expanding Access to High-Quality Child Care in Franklin County, OH An American Rescue Plan community profile Video How Franklin County, OH Supports Child Care Providers and Families with American Rescue Plan Dollars Interview with Erica Crawley, county commissioner and former member of the Ohio House of Representatives.
